MAY goes to GAPO

Half a week now nung tumugtog kame sa Cafe Balooga, Olongapo City, hanggang ngayon feel ko pa din ang intensity! awsome experience para sa mga kasama naming banda na Kalixta, Fourpiece at Lastbreak.. sobrang saya kasi parang naging outing na din ng namin, nag swimming muna sa beach tapos hangout, bonding.. Then yung experience sa bar is so cool, ibang klase ang crowd ng gapo.. talagang rock out, moshpit talaga..not the usual gig sa manila, na parang mga tuod lang ang mga nanonood.. ala pang tugtog uwi, kahit ako di maka tugs-to-go, ang layo ba naman eh.. haha! pero definitely babalik kame sa gapo kung maimbitahan kame uli.. maraming salamat kay miki perez ng 21st fever sa pag accommodate samin taga manila.. at sa crowd ng gapo..mabuhay kayo!!

shout-out na din sa nag away sa bar, di tuloy natapos set ng imbue no kudos at di nakatugtog 21st fever.. badtrip kayo!! haha!

MERCY IS FALLING BAND REUNION GIG

Last sunday (july 19,2015) Muling nakatugtog sa isang event ang bandang Mercy is Falling, kung di ako nagkakamali last gig ay 2011 pa. Naalala ko nung time na unang ininvite ako ni Leeyan na mag session sa isang church sa Makati para mag bass kaso that time under restoration pa ko sa worship team ng church namin, para respeto sa main church na pinag sserve-an ko, di muna ako nag confirm kay Leaayn kahit gustong gusto ko nang tumugtog.. at nung time na tuluyan na kong nag resign bilang member ng worship team, madami ako secular band na naka jam.. Muli, kinontak ako ni Leeyan para banda nyang Mercy is Falling, may mga compo na sila nung time na yun kaya nung narinig ko mga kanta nila nag "oo" agad ako, una namin gig kasama sila sa "octoberpraise" isang christian event sa ginanap sa morayta, manila after nun sunod sunod na ang gig ng Mercy, masaya ako kada may gig kahit di ramdam ko na di naman ganun kalakas ang impact ng banda kasi siguro puro lalake kame, parang walang dating pero oks lang perform pa din.. may time pa nga na ang audience ay isang table lang.. lol! lalo na pag kasabay namin magagalinbg na banda tulad ng Mayonaise, Moonstar88 etc., after nila uwian na din mga tao.. hehehe! mga ilang months din kame gumig with Mercy after nun kinailangan na ni Leeyan mag work abroad, nagkanya kanya muna kmeng mga naiwan na bandmate, hanggang sa nagkaroon kame ng chance makapag jam nila PK at Jae.. hanggang sa kinuha na namin vox si Erika kaya nabuo ang band MAY.. ngayon nagkaroon si Leeyan makapag bakasyon sa pilipinas, alam namin miss na miss na nya kumanta sa gig akaya ayun, nag set na sila.. actually di naman talaga ako ang mag bass sa kanila ngayon, kasi ayaw na din nila siguro sakin, lol.. gusto nila yung magagaling na siguro, kaso yung mga gusto nilang di available sa date ng event kaya napagtyagaan nila ako.. oks lang yun di naman talaga ako magaling saka at simula naman nung una, session lang ako sa Mercy.. game pa din syempre ako kahit medyo badtrip yun, kasi mga kaibigan pa din naman sila saka para makumpleto ang bakasyon ni Leeyan kasi alam kong miss na nya kumanta at tugtugin ang mga compo nya.. kaya last sunday muli nakatugtog ang Mercy is Falling salamat sa Red Button Prod(mang jose) sa pag sama sa Mercy sa line up.. masaya ako na nakasama ang mga dati kong kabanda, di ko man na deliver ng maganda yung bass line na gusto nila pero sana nag enjoy pa din lahat.. :) rock and roll lang..

SESSION WITH KALIXTA

since nung first gig ng bandangMAY sa happyhouse, first time din namin nakasabay ang bandang kalixta.. well, syempre nung una yung bokalista at bahista ang tinitgnan namin kasi maganda at sexy.. haha! pero nung tumugtog sila, in an instant naging fan ako, ang lupit ng tugtugan solid ang riffs at melody.. at simula din nun, naging friend na namin ang bandang ito.. kaya nung nawalan sila ng bahista at inimbita akong mag session, di na ko nag dalawang isip na mag "oo", last saturday (june 6,2015) ay yung 2nd time na sumession ako sa bandang ito.. sobrang na eenjoy ko ang music nila, nag eenjoy din ako kasama sila at kausap.. sobrang saya lalo na pag kasama ang main band kong MAY.. sa ngayon nag hahanap sila ng babaeng bassist, aaminin ko gusto ko sana mag apply nlng, kaso girl hanap nila, ata ayaw ko din magka conflict sa sked, sayang.. so kung sino mga interesado dyan.. contact them thru fb.. sana makasama pa namin sila sa mga gigs at lumalim pa pagkakaibigan ng MAY at KALIXTA at syempre ng iba pang mga bandang nakakasabay namin..

MORE THAN A YEAR

Hello guys!! musta na blog? more than a year na akong walang nasulat dito.. tinatamad kc ako magtype minsan, pag trip ko naman magsulat ang dami naman trabahao sa office.. kamusta sakin? ang dami na bago sakin, may electric bike na ko.. last time na sulat ko dito ala pa ata akong ebike.. sobra tipid ko dito kc nagagamit ko sa going back to marikina.. 200 pesos din natitipid ko balikan, tapos yung natiitipid ko pa dito sa laguna salamat sa maganda kong ebike na inspired ng jordan motorsports.. hehehe!

may bago na din akong banda "MAY" ang name.. actually bago lang vocalist namin sa anyo ni ERIKA DAVID.. nakikita ko na future nitong band, gaganda ng compo ni pk(guitarist) at performance ni erika sa stage, dami na din humahanga, naconsidered na din kame na freshly baked artist ng isang production na tinugtugan namin.. nbakakatuwa na lahat ng bar na natutugtugan namin, nagugustuhan kame.. iniisip na namin mag record para makagawa ng EP, sana mag tuloy tuloy na to.. ang p[roblema lang namin ang mga work namin, lalo na ko dito ako sa laguna, buti nalang matipid kc andito ebike ko.. :)

last september lumipat na kame ng office.. dito na kame naka pwesto sa may ERWINS place.. balibago complex pa din, pero mas madami na kame nakikitang tao, di tulad sa dating opis parang nakakulong, di pa namin kita ang labas kung maaraw ba o umuulan, kayalang mahina benta namin dito, dahil siguro di pa alam ng ibang customer dito, sana makabawi na kame dito..

last september din nung umalis na si Gene papuntang dubai, sobrang nakakalungkot yung time na yun, pinipigilan ko umiyak kaso di ko mapigilan considering na 5 years na kme lage magkasama, sana lage siya ingatan at iguide ni Lord dun, sana di siya magkasakit sana lage good health.

after a month with out new here in my blog, im back with story that shock the catholic community. the sudden resignation of pope benedict XVI, the first pope to do so in 700 years, saying he no longer had the mental and physical strength to carry on.

Reuters report, Church officials tried to relay a climate of calm confidence in the running of a 2,000-year-old institution, but the decision could lead to uncertainty in a Church already besieged by scandal for covering up sexual abuse of children by priests.

The soft-spoken German, who always maintained that he never wanted to be pope, was an uncompromising conservative onsocial and theological issues, fighting what he regarded as the increasing secularization of society.

It remains to be seen whether his successor will continue such battles or do more to bend with the times.

Despite his firm opposition to tolerance of homosexual acts, his eight year reign saw gay marriage accepted in many countries. He has staunchly resisted allowing women to be ordained as priests, and opposed embryonic stem cell research, although he retreated slightly from the position that condoms could never be used to fight AIDS.

He repeatedly apologized for the Church's failure to root out child abuse by priests, but critics said he did too little and the efforts failed to stop a rapid decline in Church attendance in the West, especially in his native Europe.

In addition to child sexual abuse crises, his papacy saw the Church rocked by Muslim anger after he compared Islam to violence. Jews were upset over rehabilitation of a Holocaust denier. During a scandal over the Church's business dealings, his butler was accused of leaking his private papers.

SPOLIARIUM

The painting features a glimpse of Roman history centered on the bloody carnage brought by gladiatorial matches. Spoliarium is a Latin word referring to the basement of the Roman Colosseum where the fallen and dying gladiators are dumped and devoid of their worldly possessions.

At the center of Luna’s painting are fallen gladiators being dragged by Roman soldiers. On the left, spectators ardently await their chance to strip off the combatants of their metal helmets and other armory. In contrast with the charged emotions featured on the left, the right side meanwhile presents a somber mood. An old man carries a torch perhaps searching for his son while a woman weeps the death of her loved one.

The Spoliarium is the most valuable oil-on-canvas painting by Juan Luna, a Filipino educated at the Academia de Dibujo y Pintura (Philippines) and at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. With a size of 4.22 meters x 7.675 meters, it is the largest painting in the Philippines. A historical painting, it was made by Luna in 1884 as an entry to the prestigious Exposicion de Bellas Artes (Madrid Art Exposition, May 1884) and eventually won for him the First Gold Medal.

Last saturday (nov 17, 2012) natuloy na din ang photoshoot ng mercy is falling sa u.p. start ng around 4pm, na dapat mga 2pm start.. hehe! sobrang thankful sa photographer na si "EJ" dont know her full name but she's very nice to think na taga pasay pa xa at nag bigay ng time para samin.. tamang tama lang ung 4pm kc maxado mainit ng 2pm, saka ganda ng araw.. till next time uli ms. EJ salamat.. :) sa susunod music-video naman.. ;)

BACK WITH ACOUSTIC MUSIC

After a many months not playing music with praiseteam and headbang to a punk rock christian band MEDJAI, i have a chance to play special number to HWIM with former band-mate and worship leader on the first ever afternoon sunday service @ sta. lucia cinema 2. we are back with acoustic music with dhenz on ukalele, niel on bass and myself on beatbox. its nice to see that we can still connect through music, with our less than 30 mins practice we already create a very beautiful special number.. they are still the best..
